We all have moments in life. Moments of doubt, moments of happiness, and moments of sadness. We also have moments where we questions ourselves. Question our character. Question who we are. Question where we are going. Sometimes we reach out and ask for help. Sometimes we get it. Sometimes we don’t.
And then, sometimes, people without knowing will try and take away something from us.
We are forced to go above and beyond ourselves to pick up the pieces again and start anew. Sometimes, you forget that it’s just a moment. That’s all it was. A moment of weakness. A moment of vulnerability. A moment where you feel like you’re screaming and the world never took notice. Understand that, we, as humans all have these moments and THAT is all they are. Just a moment. But – never underestimate or overestimate that power of a moment. Because that moment will pass and before you know it, you will have a choice to make.
The sun will rise and fall. So each morning when you wake up, understand that moment of weakness is gone and where you go from here is who you are meant to be. Who you always were going to become. Seize that moment because there’s a fine line of knowing who you are and wanting to become something better and choosing to remain the same because of the fear of that weak moment.
Remember, it’s just a moment and we all have them.
That moment does not define your worth. That moment does not define who you are or who you will become. How we react from that moment is what defines us. We can choose to hide or we can rise form it. Go above and beyond all expectation, hesitation, and doubt.
Whether that moment is forced on us or we create it ourselves, what we do after is 10x more important.
So I ask you this. Will you let one moment define your worth? Or will YOU define it?
Defy the odds. Make changes. Do something different. Be someone different. Become someone no one anticipated you to be. Choose the life you want to live. And if someone ever tries to define you, remember YOU do not need THEIR approval. You DO NOT need them to rise. You do not need another person to shine. You will always shine; how bright and what colour is up to you.
