Today’s girls are tomorrow’s women leaders.
For a girl to become successful, she needs the support of the world around her.
Her well being
Empowerment originates from education. The foundation of a young girl is shaped during her adolescence and is perhaps the most pivotal developmental years of her life. It can also be the toughest years she will go through in the midst of puberty, girl culture, and a media-saturated world.
Sadly, our society still teaches young girls to focus on appearances and traditional female stereotypes through magazines, toys, and movies. Girls are then more fixated on how they look and what they wear, which in turn affect their career aspirations, academic performance, and self-esteem. This correlates to the lack of confidence and lack of purpose that girls continue to feel throughout their high school years and potentially into their twenties.
It’s important for girls to be able to self-advocate for themselves as early as their adolescence in order to successfully navigate peer pressure, self-image, and gender roles. With doing so, girls will feel more confident, self-aware, and comfortable with themselves when making life-changing decisions while feeling a stronger sense of belonging within their communities.
When adolescent girls are healthy, educated and financially literate, they can achieve their physical, emotional, and social potential.
Girls have limitless potential. Girls can change the world.
Because she holds the power to our future.
All girls deserve to feel valued, confident, and educated so that they can grow into the best versions of themselves. When girls grow up instilled with positive perceptions of themselves, the possibilities are endless. Let’s empower and support the girls in our community so that they realize and maximize their potential to become our leaders of tomorrow.
